The transdermal contraceptive patch, which contains norelgestromin and ethinyl estradiol. One patch is applied and worn for one week to suppress ovulation. After that, the patch is replaced on a weekly basis for the next two weeks. The fourth week is patch-free to allow for withdrawal bleeding.
