Description
COXICEL is used in adults for the relief of signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It belongs to a group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), specifically COX-2 inhibitors. The body produces prostaglandins that can cause pain and inflammation, and these are increased in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. The medicine works by reducing the production of prostaglandins, thereby decreasing pain and inflammation. It may start working within hours of the first dose, but full effects may take several days.
